17 May Thy Kingdom Come
We are once again supporting the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative. Obviously in 2020 it will be a bit different as gatherings cannot happen. However, prayer remains our life breath and we can embrace all encouragements to engage meaningfully with that. So what can we do?
- Keep praying for your 5 a day – pray for (at least) 5 people to come to know Christ as Lord. Pray for them daily!
- Use our own home produced ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer resource to help you pray (Thanks to Julie Renton). It has great prayer ideas for both children and adults. Click the link below: TKC prayers 2020i
- Use the national ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ resources, available to download from their website here: https://www.thykingdomcome.global/stories/prayer-and-care and here: https://www.thykingdomcome.global/prayer-resources
- YOU COULD ALSO SIGN UP TO OUR 24 HOURS OF PRAYER INITIATIVE. This will begin at 10am on Saturday 30th May and finish as church starts on Sunday 31st May. Please be in touch with Pippa in the office to sign up. Let’s see if we can cover the whole 24 hour period with prayer for: an end to the grip of COVID-19; healing for our nation and community from the impact of it; for the Spirit of God to stir faith in our nation. Please sign up and pray – it’s the one simple but effective thing we can all do!
