We are really excited at how God is growing and developing our work with children and youth, both within the church and beyond. We believe that discipleship is possible at any age and our vision is to see our children and young people following Jesus.
We run exciting programmes on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and Friday nights. Please contact the church office to find out more or come along and find out what is going on.
Children and families join with the whole church for worship before the children leave to go out to their own groups as detailed below. Each group offers age appropriate songs, games, craft and bible stories to teach the children about Jesus and to explore what it means to follow Jesus in a fun and relevant way. We run the following groups:
Crèche: babies and toddlers from age 0 to 3
Bubbles: children from age 3 to end of Reception
Splash: children in school years 1 and 2
Extreme: children in school years 3 to 6
Connections: young people in school years 7 to 9
SOW: (bible study group): young people in school years 10 to 13
ID: Meeting at about 7:30pm, this group is for those in school years 10 to 13 and has provides a nurture and discipleship group for our young people as well as having a social aspect. A mentoring programme is also offered.
Our Friday night children and younger youth programmes provide fun evenings of games, and craft activities. With trips to the beach, bouncy castles and indoor planetariums – no two weeks are ever the same. The programme always includes a short devotional slot to introduce Jesus to the children. Evenings are designed to make it easy for children to bring their friends whether they come to St. Paul’s or not.
